of the NZ Defence Force, Reserve Territorials and in charge of Youth Development .
Tonight our Rotary fellowship will be boosted we as we are joined by Stoke-Tahuna Rotary members.
Later in this meeting the Club will make a presentation to Nelson College final year Science scholar, Charlie Norton, selected by the Royal Society of NZ, as one of 5 New Zealanders to attend the London International Youth Science Forum in July.

LAST WEEK :
was a visit by 5 of our members to Rotary West, and on Mon 27th 2 of our members also visited the Richmond Club night ( fundraiser for Rotary Foundation). We were privileged at both meetings to hear Megan Borlase, Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, talking about her experiences and higher education in the USA in preparation for working with autistic and ADHD children. All about having the qualifications and know- how to be able to be a leader in this field back in NZ in the future. Megan gave an excellent power-point presentation and showed the high level of her devotion and inspiration to this chosen career. ………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
District Speech Contest:
Our Nelson College student Isabelle Harding is thru to the Final . (Final Round at District Level – will be held 6pm Monday 17

+ RUTHERFORD’S CHANGE-OVER-
Leisure Lodge is booked for this on Mon. 24th June, cost is $32 per head, and pre-drinks and table beverages will be on the Club. The Chairman – Organiser is Jim Bishop, who will preside over the festivities on the night. ………………………………………………………………………………………………….QUIZ NIGHT at Stoke Memorial Hall - last Fri night. Rutherford filled a table with 10 quiz contestant-representatives for this fund-raising quiz and auction event run by Richmond and Nelson Rotary Clubs. Funds were raised for ShelterBox and the Nelson-Marl Helicopter Rescue Appeal Fund.
