Some may bring a potential new member to experience this young person event.
Guests are welcome but please advise Barry White of your numbers for catering.
Meal price reduced to $15 per head.
Four of our members are away down south on the rail trail today so try and bring a partner or guest so we have an audience for these College students with their prepared speeches !

NOTICE for Bulletin Re ROTAHOMES : Further to the recent members talk by Barry B regarding Rotahomes in Fiji.
Notice has been received that members from District are scheduled
to spend the first two weeks of September working on this aid project.
Costs including travel, food, accommodation, insurance etc are likely to
be approximately $1500.00.

Wednesday 17 April 2013. Brian is a Police Inspector with 35years service in the New Zealand Police, an accomplished speaker, qualified lawyer, and lives in Nelson.
Brian recently spent eight months in central Afghanistan. He was Head of the City Police and Justice Project, attached to the European Union Police Mission in Afghanistan working alongside the New Zealand Provincial Reconstruction Team.
His focus was to develop capability and capacity in the Afghan National Police, develop and strengthen laws and advance gender and human rights. Brian is absolutely passionate about New Zealand's contribution to improving lives of the ordinary people who are suffering in this troubled country.
Sharing his experiences of working in Bamiyan province, you’ll hear some interesting examples of issues his team worked on. As well as enjoying the food, fellowship, and this thought provoking speaker, you’ll have the opportunity to bid on a wide variety of items during the auction.
