President: Mike Norton Secretary: Barry Blommaart Treasurer-Editor: Denis Daly MEETING THIS WEEK : Speaker is Russell S. -- Subject : " Dover to Dover " Last week we had a full session on Club business. Election of Officers: It looks like we have no problems with continuation of Officers for next year (July 2013). Very encouraging.
Mike N. will take up the official Presidency (as earlier nominated) after doing a "fill-in" the last few months and maybe get some relief from the task sometime before next June ?
Barry B. continues as Secretary, Denis D. continues as Treasurer, Bill Deaker is President-elect looking a further year ahead.
See the last No. 17 Bulletin for the full Agenda we covered: Ian gave us a run-down on the McKenzie Trust applications, about 30 in all. Covered everything from shoes to school shirts, jerseys, uniforms etc. Discussion was had on security of payments, use of vouchers etc, it is a real problem if we have to issue "Club cheques". Alternatives are to be investigated. Events for the food caravan- we are to seek out suitable events for the year ahead, lines of action were discussed. We have a 1st & 3rd January booking at Saxton Oval – T20 cricket. Also there is a date for Feb 26
th at Saxton Oval – 50 over game. We are also mentioning our availability to Sport Tasman in anticipation of finding some other dates to attend later. The Christmas Function is 10th December at the Suburban Club – see the flier attached. Please confirm your numbers by this Monday to Barrie Whyte – if not by e-mail reply now, then definitely at the Mon. 3rd meeting. The catering arrangements need to firm up now .Meal cost is $23 per head. Cash at Bar at the Club prices. November was Foundation Month - see District Gov. newsletter. We have yet to decide our contribution for 2012.
