ROTARY FRIENDSHIP EXCHANGE

ROTARY FRIENDSHIP EXCHANGE

This Rotary program involves a district to district exchange of about 4 couples who are hosted by Rotarian families over a period of 2-3 weeks. It is a wonderful opportunity to experience another culture and explore friendships within the family of Rotary. Couples are home-hosted but travel costs are the responsibility of the travelling Rotarians.

This District has been approached by District 3140, India, which covers Mumbai and suburbs. The District contains 124 clubs and has about 6750 members (compared to our 33 clubs and 1380-odd members!). They are requesting we visit end of January/February 2013 (cool season) for about 2 weeks. We would look to reciprocate in mid to late March, 2013.  I have suggested there could be interest if our visit coincided with a polio National Immunization Day event, but the staging of this program is at the whim of the Indian government.

I would need to know numbers by the end of September and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
