Hole Sponsorship $350 includes playing rights for 4 people & signage placement at Coringa
Should weather not permit tournament to take place, no alternative date will be set For more than 20 years the Rotary Club of Riccarton has organized this Annual Classic Golf Day with help from the staff at Coringa, and the members of the Rotary Club. This year it is again being run as a "joint venture" with considerable help from the staff from Cholmondeley.
To date, we have raised almost half a million dollars from this tournament to assist Cholmondeley. With increasing demands on its services & rising costs, the Home continues to rely more and more on this form of financial support. All sponsorship monies received are transmitted direct to Cholmondeley. Coringa Country Club provides a substantial discount on the use of their facilities, and this is appreciated. The balance of other costs incurred is covered by targeted sponsorship and the Rotary Club. Please register your intention to sponsor a hole for the Cholmondeley Charity Golf Day with your Rotary representative or contact us. If you would prefer to donate a prize or two for raffles or winning players by way of vouchers or goods they would also be really appreciated. Our prize table contains only donated goods

At Cholmondeley, the children find a place full of acceptance, caring and hope. The home is unique in being the only community based respite provider for children left in NZ, and one of the few international facilities of its kind. Cholmondeley also provides respite care to support parents under stress. Staff work with parents to improve their parenting and home making skills, and in their own home.
An average of 20 children a day stay at Cholmondeley for an average of 10 days. About 80% of referrals are from Christchurch, the rest coming from the wider Canterbury and other South Island areas.
It costs in the vicinity of $1.8 million per annum to keep Cholmondeley operational. Almost half of this is recoverable from Government Agencies and parent contributions, leaving a shortfall of about $1,000,000. The balance is sought by way of fundraising events, grants, trusts, bequests and the generosity of the people of Canterbury. Please help us help children and families in need in Canterbury.
