RYLA 2010 Nominee Jackie Scott

Jackie Scott who we funded to attend a RYLA course in Christchurch talked on her life. Jackie works in a Nelson OSCAR program for the YMCA.
When she got to the course at first she was apprehensive and wondered if she could manage to cope but soon found she could. She is impressed with Rotary and the programs that we do. She won a special fun award for the best question. However she was not permitted to bring her prize winning balloon on the plane when she returned because the air hostess said it would explode. Not because it contained explosives but the pressure on it would be lower. Perhaps there is a lesson in that story.
